Because Windsor has been a Mr. Grab Hands lately, we decided to introduce a sippy cup the other night. He loved it! There's handles, and a thingie to stick in your mouth and everything! I'm not sure he was as keen on actually getting liquid out as he was with holding and chewing on it, but it's a start.
Each morning when we go in to get Windsor out of his crib, this is the sight we see.
This is the foot of his crib, by the way. He also likes scraping his pacifier against the slats. We're getting him a tin cup for Valentine's Day.

Nine Month Report + The Sock Monkey.
Last Friday Windsor went to the doctor for his 9-month visit. Here are the stats:
Height: 29 1/2 inches (86th percentile)
Weight: 23 pounds, 6 ounces (88th percentile)
Head size: 48 cm (umm...98th percentile)
So the man is still large, but he is no longer the biggest baby in the universe. His head, however, still may be the biggest baby head in town.
In other news, for some time now Windsor has been fond of taking off his socks. Before he could manipulate his hands very well, he would rub his feet together until the socks fell off. Now that he is pretty dextrous, the socks come off the very minute they go on. What happens to these socks, you may ask? Well, there's this:
And there's only one name for a baby with a sock in his mouth: sock monkey!

The Week in Pictures.
What's that you say? You haven't seen new pictures of Windsor all week?
Well, don't cry about it! Here are six new ones!
Someone keeps escaping from his nice clean play mat and ending up on the hardwood floor. And he's proud about it!
Cute, yet slightly sullen baby after his bath last night:
Here's the scene this morning. No charge for the comically open dog mouth.
And finally, here is photographic evidence of Windsor's interesting crawling style. I think this is classified as creeping:

I Told You My New Year's Resolution Was to Post More Photos.
Here are some photos from the last week or so.
Someone sure does love a bath:
He's also enjoying playing with this activity table thingie he got for Christmas:
Although his old friend the jumpy still has many charms:
As does being toted around in Dad's overalls--the white trash Baby Bjorn:
And because everyone asks if Windsor smiles all the time, here is photo evidence that he does not. He also makes hilarious faces when he wedges himself under the coffee table (his new favorite place to roll/scootch/drag himself to):
